Idris Jatoi
“Let come what comes, let go what goes.” – Ramana Maharshi
Idris Jatoi hails from Fort Worth, Texas, but spent his college years on the west coast, where he graduated from The University of Southern California (USC). Idris began his KD career in 2010 and spent many years as a campus advisor and member of the college counseling team. He left briefly to explore the corporate world as a Business Analyst and Derivatives Broker for a national financial services company before becoming KD’s VP of College Counseling.
His current responsibilities include helping our college counseling students find, then apply to, colleges that are off the beaten path, as well as working with students during the application process to “uncover unexpected but awesome narratives” that they can share in personal statements and/or college essays.
KD students probably recognize Idris as a frequent presenter for orientations and seminars. His expertise in both the test prep and college counseling worlds makes him a great fit in this role too!

What is your List of Loves?
“I love hiking, playing basketball, and playing golf. Any opportunities to travel and see new places are always exciting! My wife and I look forward to traveling with our young daughter in the years ahead. Visiting India to see the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, among other places, is something we can’t wait to do. In my spare time, I like tinkering with old cars and looking at midcentury modern residential designs. I think metal work and carpentry are dying arts so it’s cool to see examples from bygone eras.”
